NEUROREHABILITATION, WEARABLE ROBOTICS AND INCLUSIVE HUMAN-ROBOT INTERACTION: SANT’ANNA SCHOOL BIOROBOTICS INSTITUTE ORGANIZED ICNR2018, WEROB AND INBOTS international CONFERENCES IN PISA SCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER 16-20

Pisa is home to innovative research on neuro-rehabilitation robotics, wearable robotics and inclusive human-robot interaction. The ICNR (International Conference on Neurorehabilitation), WeRob (The International Symposium on Wearable Robotics) and INBOTS (Inclusive Robotics for a better society) three international conferences will be held in Pisa - Palazzo dei Congressi, on 16-20 October 2018.

The conferences are presented by the Sant’Anna School Institute of Biorobotics in partnership with the Neural Rehabilition Group and the Instituto Cajal. 500 attendees can choose from key notes, panels, and intensive sessions. 380 abstracts have been received covering the conference topics on: rehabilitation robotics to deliver restorative therapy and to augment disable people’s functional abilities; service robotics to assist humans in their daily activities; wearable robotic systems and exoskeletons for improved mobility, enhanced force capability and recovery of motor functions; collaborative robotics to improve quality, and advance industrial productivity; and robotics as an increasing part of the healthcare eco-system.

Keynote speakers and academic professors include: Maria Chiara Carrozza (Biorobotics Institute and Fondazione Don Gnocchi), Michael Goldfarb (Vanderbilt University), Katja Mombaur (Heidelberg University, Marcia K. O’Malley (Rice University), Marco Santello (Arizona State University), Stephen Scott (Queen’s University), Herman van der Kooij (University of Twente).
